Savannah’s economy has consistently been one of the fastest growing and most stable in Georgia in recent years. It is also one of the most diverse. Major economic sectors include manufacturing, tourism, port-related operations, healthcare, government/military and a burgeoning number of creative and technical businesses.
Savannah is the hub of an 11-county labor draw area with a population of nearly 650,000 and a labor pool of more than 300,000. Savannah also serves as an ideal transportation hub for manufacturing, distribution and just generally getting around. Logistics Today recognized Savannah as "the most logistics friendly city in the nation" three years in a row.
In addition, Savannah/Chatham County offers the convenience of developed sites, buildings and greenfield property for businesses relocating in Savannah, as well as existing Savannah businesses. The Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) manages a database of property from 5,000 square feet to 1,400 acres which can be found in the Available Property section.
SEDA can also provide information about incentives available to qualifying companies operating in the state of Georgia and Chatham County.
