Public Schools
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School (SCCPS) system serves nearly 34,500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. In the last three years, SCCPS system has made stronger gains in academic performance than any other school district in Georgia. Our elementary students exceed the national average on the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. And, we offer advanced placement, international baccalaureate, and special education programs. The SCCPS system leads the state in the number of teachers earning National Board Certification, and is actively recruiting more professionals with advanced degrees.


Private Schools
Private schools in Savannah offer residents a spectrum of diversity and affordability for elementary, middle, and secondary education. They range in size from 80 to almost 1,500 students with tuition costs from $1,825 to $14,730.
