Talking about their arrival in the city, Linda said, "The people here are amazing. Our neighbors threw wonderful parties for us. We were overwhelmed by their friendliness and generosity." Walter agreed, "And, they involved us in many civic organization and community initiatives."

When asked why they moved to Savannah, Walter simply responded, "When you’re from a place as beautiful as this, how could you not come back home?" Comparing Savannah to many European cities, he said, "We walk to restaurants and shops. There are concerts in the park, the film festival, the music festival…and great weather." Linda added, "We are thrilled to be here. I love this place."
