  • Foreign Trade Zone
    • Crossroads, SPA and Tremont Industrial business parks are part of the Savannah FTZ sub zone 104. This designation can be used to reduce customs duties, eliminate delays in customs clearances and duty drawback procedures, eliminate state and local ad valorem taxes on tangible personal property held for export, discount cargo insurance rates, and hold merchandise subject to US quotas until quotas open.

  • Georgia Technical Institute/Facilitech
    • Our local Georgia Tech Center for Economic Development Services will work with companies on projects that can increase productivity, reduce costs and improve competitiveness. First step is an assessment of company needs. FaciliTech (http://www.ceds.gatech.edu/facilitech/index.cfm) is a state-wide program that provides help for up to 20 days in:
      • environmental and energy planning
      • plant layout
      • quality assurance
      • vendor selection
      • analyzing material handling methods
      • developing work flow design
      • recommending process technology improvements
      • recommending safety and hazardous waste management techniques
      • conducting quality and ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and QS-9000 assessments
      • identifying competitiveness improvement opportunities.
