In 2005, almost seven million visitors produced direct traveler expenditures of nearly $1.5 billion.

Savannah continues to increase tourism jobs, bringing the total number of employees in the sector in 2006 to over 19,000.

Additionally, the 2005 Tourism Study released in the Spring of 2007 showed that 60% of visitors will visit again and 50% of those will do so an average of 5+ times.
