Creative Technologies Incentives

The Creative Technologies incentive, partnered with Georgia’s existing incentives, are designed to help grow and attract creative technology jobs and investment to Chatham County.

Savannah Technology Workforce Incentive

In May 2020, SEDA established a new Savannah Technology Workforce Incentive that reimburses individual moving expenses up to $2,000 for qualified technology workers currently located outside of Chatham County. Applicants can be self-employed, remote workers of technology firms located elsewhere or relocating to take a position with technology company in the region. Applicants must have at least three years of verifiable experience, must relocate to Chatham County with a minimum one-year lease or purchase property and must have resided in the county for 30 days before applying.

Savannah Technology Workforce Incentive Application

High Wage Job Creation Grant

Available for qualified businesses. Cash grant of up to $20,000 for every five high tech jobs created and retained for one year. Jobs must be 25 percent above the county average wage.

SEDA Facility Rental Assistant Incentive

Available for qualified businesses.

Tier 1

Creating and keeping at least five positions at 10 percent above the county average wage.

Tier 2

Creating and keeping at least five positions at 25 percent above the county average wage.

Cash Grant
$10,000 for every five jobs. Not to exceed $100,000 per company and paid only after it has been validated that the job has existed for at least one full year.

Cash Grant
$20,000 for every five jobs. Not to exceed $100,000 per company and paid only after it has been validated that the job has existed for at least one full year.

Facility Rental Assistance
Up to $6,000 towards facility rent. Must create at least 10 new jobs.

Facility Rental Assistance
Up to $12,000 towards facility rent. Must create at least 10 new jobs.

Combination of all grants not to exceed $100,000.
