The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, focused on igniting a passion for learning, is nationally recognized for its innovative use of technology and its focus on each child and their future. The public school system has 20 elementary schools, 9 K-8, 8 middle schools, 11 public high schools and 5 charter schools.

Savannah is also home to more than 30 top-tier, award-winning private schools.

From the Savannah College of Art and Design, which offers more degree programs and specializations than any other art and design university; to Savannah Technical College, which is consistently named a top Georgia technical college; to Georgia Southern University, one of America’s best colleges according to Forbes magazine, the Savannah region provides a highly skilled, educated workforce to meet your needs.

The HOPE Scholarship program (Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally) provides tuition assistance to students who reside in Georgia that demonstrate academic achievement. The HOPE Scholarship is merit-based with GPA requirements while the HOPE Grant encourages technical training with no specific GPA requirements in high school. The program is funded entirely by revenue from the Georgia Lottery, and since 1993, $15 billion in HOPE funds have been awarded to more than 2.1 million students enrolled in Georgia public and private colleges and universities and public technical schools.
