How SEDA supports growth in Chatham County
SEDA’s Existing Industry program is designed to support the continued success and growth of businesses in Chatham County. Through ongoing outreach and direct engagement, the program works to understand operational needs, workforce challenges, infrastructure requirements and opportunities for expansion.
We can serve as a liaison between businesses and key local, regional and state partners, helping to facilitate access to resources, incentives, and strategic connections that enable companies to remain competitive and expand in Savannah. By fostering strong relationships and proactively addressing business concerns, SEDA contributes to the long-term stability and growth of Chatham County.
Ready to expand internationally?
That’s why Foreign-Trade Zones exists. The Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) program has helped promote international trade, economic development and job creation in the United States for more than 75 years. Specifically, Foreign-Trade Zone 104 in Savannah is a location that is considered outside of U.S. Customs territory where domestic and foreign merchandise may be placed without formal customs entry and without payment of duties and taxes. The program is available to all U.S. based companies and can result in multiple cost benefits including duty deferral, inverted tariffs, tax savings and more.
